Over the years, Bornhorst & Ward has acquired an outstanding record of business growth and now comprises specialist Structural and Civil engineering divisions, and has become one of queenslands largest privately owned engineering consultancies. All staff have access to a wide range of 'up to the minute' computer software and each staff member is a trained extensively to ensure that they are experts in their field. Structural and Civil staff are also exposed to both disciplines to provide an understanding of all services we provide and to guarantee complete coordination. Our policy is to employ at least one graduate per year - hence we ensure that new ideas and perspectives come into the business, and it in turn continues to grow.

Our projects are many and varied, each of them under the direct personal supervision of one of our directors. They range in size and complexity from a townhouse development to major retail developments and from residential road widening through to projects such as major arterial road design. Although the majority of the work we have undertaken has been throughout Queensland, we have worked in other states of Australia and in South-East Asia.

The most important person in our business is the Client. We aim to treat our Clients as they want to be treated, giving them the level of expert guidance and advice that they want. We set up communication systems which reflect our Clients requirements, so that we can give to them the personalised service which allows us to reach our goal of Harmony with the Client.

At Bornhorst & Ward, we take a creative approach to our work, with Total Quality Management (TQM) ensuring that all staff play an integral role in the development and day to day running of the Office.

Minimising delays by promptly presenting options and initiating solutions to problems all contribute to keeping the client involved and informed of progress.

Experience

All of our Directors and senior staff have extensive experience in development projects. We know the industry and the importance of getting it right first time. Every project is under the direct personal supervision of a Director.

We possess a comprehensive range of computer design and drafting aids enabling us to match all software to other consultants. This maximises speed of transfer of information, minimises delays and saves time.
